QMS Charity ride Mar.2015

Queensland Motorcycle School’s first social ride for the year kicked off with an absolute corker of a day.

Awesome weather only surpassed by the awesome generosity of all those that showed up.

We had close to 30 bikes ranging from cruisers to sports bikes.

Loads of smiles and a ride up through the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland stopping off at Flaxton Barn for morning tea (thanks so much Debbie) then onto Bell Bird Café for a great BBQ lunch (always good to see your happy smiling face Pete)

The purpose of this ride from a charity point of view was to raise money for a good mate of mine and Ex student Steve.

Steve is a Vietnam vet who is struggling to save his house from the banks…..with very little support from the Government our forgotten hero’s are really struggling with the day to day living that we may take for granted.

Steve was overwhelmed by the generosity of total strangers….we managed to raise $630.

I found out that day, that its not only the Vietnam vets that are struggling but also our recent vets from Afghanistan.

I really don’t know how we can help these guys but spare a thought this ANZAC day for not only the ww1 & ww2 diggers but also our vets from Vietnam and any other conflict our brave soldiers have fought in.

Thanks again to everyone involved!

See you all at the next one!

Cheers Mark
