The 7 Steps to QRide
- Must hold a Qld drivers’ licence for a minimum of 1 year. (class C type P1/2 or O)
- Complete a motorcycle Pre-Learner course Qride Pre-Learner course then pass 30 multiple choice question online with TMR to gain Learner licence. (from $525)
- Hold Learner licence (class RE type L) for minimum of 90 days before doing Qride course RE
- Complete the online Hazard Perception Test through TMR. ($37)
- Complete motorcycle Qride course RE Qride RE course (from $300 using QMS motorcycle $250 using own motorcycle)
- Hold motorcycle RE Open licence for a minimum of 2 years before doing Qride R course.
- Complete Qride R course (not compulsory if wanting to only ride learner approved bikes) Qride R course (from $250 using QMS motorcycle. $200 using own motorcycle)
As part of Queensland Motorcycle Schools training, all riding safety gear and use of a Learner Approved Motorcycle (LAMS) are supplied for QRide Assessment Courses.
